What is the format of the travel document?

A travel document is issued in one of two formats: A passport book or an e-Passport. The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standardized these documents and created specific international standards that all nations must meet. An additional £85 biometric fee must be paid separately at an Application Support Center once your case has been accepted by USCIS. Make sure that all applications are signed and have original signatures before being sent via mail; otherwise, they will be returned as incomplete.

Apply Online

You can apply by filling out an application and paying your fees on CBP’s travel website. The application has been made available in seven languages: English, Arabic, Chinese (traditional), French, Korean, Russian, and Spanish.

You’ll need to visit another enrollment center on two separate occasions: once to have your fingerprint scanned and again when it’s time to pick up your new travel document. If neither parent can appear with the child, each parent must provide proof of parenthood via documentation such as a birth certificate or adoption decree.
